A.S.M.E. FABRICATION AND CERTIFICATION…WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

All fifty states insist that any installed pressure vessels be certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (A.S.M.E.). The paragraphs that follow explain the significance of this certification:

There are many different types of certifications that companies can obtain today. Those companies are not forced to follow a specific approach to manufacturing or business operations. A.S.M.E. certification is different from others in that, it focuses on the manufacture of high pressure components. It requires that all A.S.M.E. approved company's follow a stringent and traceable line of all components and manufacturing before a vessel can be approved and placed into use.
